Big Bash - Obstacle Dash

There are twelve challenging and fun obstacles to complete as a participant. Competing in the Big Bash Obstacle Dash may be harmful to your body. As a contestant, it is your responsibility to remove yourself from the race if you are unable to complete an obstacle.

For guidance and safety, there will be course officials at every obstacle. As a competitor, you are responsible to notify a course official if you are injured or feel your safety is in danger

If you receive assistance from any spectator or someone outside of your heat on any obstacles, you will be ineligible for prizes.

Each Basher gets a cool high quality cotton T-Shirt, racing bib, free first beer, and an authentic Dasher Von Bashington mustache (yup, we said mustache!)... oh, great memories and probably some memorable battle scars too!

All awards are based on Big Bash's official timing.

Waves will start every 30 minutes. While registering, you can pick your wave, but hurry, cause they fill up fast!

Bashers are responsible for knowing their start time and check in method.

Please report to your assigned race wave 15 mins before it begins.

A Radio Frequency Chip timing is used to record your time. The chip is a miniature transponder and is coded with a unique identification number corresponding to each Basher. Your time is automatically recorded at the start and finish line.

You can put your chip on your bib or shoe. We recomend the shoe as the bib can get torn away during the race!

To secure your chip to your shoe:

• • Un-lace your shoe half-way.
• • Weave both laces through the open sides of the chip.
• • Re-lace your shoe tightly. Double knot it cause this course is gonna beat you and your shoes up!

Don't have laces? Ask for zip ties at packet pick-up!

First and foremost, the Big Bash Obstacle Dash is promoting fun! Along with that is the assurance that all participants remain safe during the race. The following rules and guidelines are intended to help create a fun and safe event for all participants and spectators.

Participants must abide by all instructions given from the race director, course officials, race staff, volunteers and medical personnel.

Participants understand and acknowledge the Big Bash Obstacle Dash is an extreme event and accept all risks associated with the event.

Registration is closed when the maximum capacity of participants is reached.

Every participant must wear the provided Big Bash Obstacle Dash bib number clearly shown on the front. No participant will be allowed to race without their official bib number.

Baby joggers, baby strollers, wheelchairs, in-line skates, bicycles, skateboards or any other type of wheeled device are strictly prohibited on the course.

Participants must be physically able to complete the course and all obstacles.

Urinating or defecating on or anywhere near the course is strictly prohibited.

Participants must be 14 years-old or older on race day in order to participate.

Several photographers and videographers are stationed along the course. Participants agree to allow the event producer (BBOD Events) to use any pictures or video footage of the event for future promotional purposes.

Course Officials are present for your safety, as well as ensuring participants adhere to the rules of the course.

Any competitor who does not follow or disobeys any course official is subject to disqualification and/or removal from the race. This consists of, but is not limited to unsportsmanlike or obscene behavior, nudity, foul/offensive language, and excessive use or inability to complete any obstacles.

Participants are subject to immediate disqualification if they have been found on one of the following; shortened the marked and defined race course, or are found not to be wearing an official race bib or timing chip.

No participant, after leaving the course, may return to the course

Non-participants are prohibited from entering or accessing the race course or any obstacles at any time for any reason without prior written consent from event officials.

The Big Bash Obstacle Dash medical personnel may examine any participant who appears to be injured or suffering. Medical personnel may remove any participant from the event if in the opinion of the medical personnel the participant needs to be removed.

Participants assume all responsibility for all medical expenses incurred as a result of training and/or participating in Big Bash Obstacle Dash, including but not limited to hospitalization, ambulance transportation or physician services.

The event producers (******* Events) reserve the right to cancel or delay the race due to severe weather or in the event of a disaster.

Participants must wear running shoes. Participants should be dressed appropriately.

Event officials reserve the right to modify any event rule at any time for any reason.

Participants shall be responsible for knowing any modification to the Big Bash Obstacle Dash rules published prior to the event.
